A week with grandparents!
That’s really what this portion of our trip was all about. They are RV’rs, but some medical issues are keeping them from traveling for a while so since we are mobile we came to them. Dad lined us up with a nice RV pad at a neighbors two doors over - close and free!
When we arrived Dad was set to give the trailer a wash job so we did that before getting it placed in the spot. From there the week was kids swimming, being treated to meals out, live music seeing both the Redhead Express and the Link Family, getting some truck and trailer projects done, and just in general spending time with the folks.
We did have to endure some chilly weather the first couple of days - with overnight temps around the freezing mark and highs struggling to get into the low 50’s. Then throw in a stiff Texas wind and it wasn’t much fun being outdoors. The kids watched a few movies and I got a couple days away at the local library to get some work done. After that however the weather got warm again and we definitely got a good share of outside time - complete with some mild redness of the face and shoulders.
We left just before my Mom was scheduled for another Chemo treatment. Our next stop was a late curve-ball but turned into a real treat - but that’s another blog post!
