Roadschooling Assignment: We Didn’t Start The Fire

Editors Note: We're blogging through We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel.

It was the summer of 2013. We were listening to the radio while driving down the road. Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire” began playing. My kids were curious about all the names and subjects Billy Joel was singing about. An idea was born.

How about the kids work through the list, researching each item, and write a brief blog post about it?

It should only take a few months to work through the song.

Right?

Today, 29 months and 117 blog posts later, Miranda posted the final topic. Hats off to my kids for sticking with the project until the end (even after moving out on your own).

I think it’s safe to say, you’ve put out the fire.
