Experiences and people over stuff.
This is one of the mantras we’re trying to live by in this post-suburban phase of life. We simply have no room to continually add possessions, so events like birthdays and Christmas take on a different face.
Early August marks Miranda’s birthday, and this year she chose to:
- Meet a friend in-person that she connected with on her namesake website (in spite of their “no personal info” rule).
- Have lunch at the Country Dairy.
- Meet with family for a cookout and rides in the Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
Happy 15th Miranda!
Happy Birthday, sweet friend!
Looks like an excellent way to spend a birthday! We’ll be there in 2 weeks, and the boys can’t wait!! I’m surprised there was no mention of a trip to the Secretary of State office! That’s on Bryce’s list for his 15th b-day, but we’ll probably miss it by a couple weeks, since his last day of Driver’s Ed is on his birthday!
Storybird has no current interest in driving. And we’re good with that..;)
